At the end of a long and winding road on the Western side of the Isle of Skye you reach the village of Elgol.

From here you can take a boat trip to the other side of the bay and visit Loch Coruisk and get a close up view of the legendry Cullin Ridge, sometimes known as The Black Cullins.

Those who venture further from here need to know their stuff where Hiking and Climbing is concerned. The Cullin Ridge is considered by many to be the toughest climbing experience in the British Isles. They are indeed a foreboding and imposing sight.
